{tutorial} Coffee Filter Snowflakes

by lowbeamstudios

As the snow blew around outside the other day, we made some of our own.

Supplies:

  1. round coffee filters
  2. watercolor paints and brushes
  3. scissors

I lay down a thick towel and let my kids douse the filters with color.  They dry fairly quickly.  Then we fold and cut.

The folding instructions below are for a six-point snowflake.  (I tend to be particular in regards to science so our snowflakes always have six points)

We hang all our snowflakes on the windows with clear tape.
